What we do
"So, what exactly do you guys do at DiscipleMakers?"
Both TJ and Kate serve DiscipleMakers in our Headquarters office in State College, PA. We both are eager to use our skills to serve ALL the campuses in this ministry by working behind the scenes and supporting the efforts on the campus.
TJ work in our Systems/IT department where work on various projects writing custom software for our specific ministry needs. Often the code he writes will benefit other ministries, too! All the projects TJ works on help our staff to work more effectively - whether that saving time by automating processes, implementing software to organize date, or providing tech support to our staff.
Kate serves as the Event Planner for the many ministry wide conferences we hold each year. This includes 3 large conferences for students, 2 staff training conferences, and various other smaller campus events such as Spring Break trips, Men's Retreats, and more! These events reinforce the daily work our staff do on campus by providing dedicated times of rich teaching, worship, and community with all 21 campuses we serve at. This role also offers Kate some unique opportunities to interact with and care for students as they have specific needs at the events.
