Approximately 400 students from across Pennsylvania gathered in the Harrisburg Hilton hotel ballroom ready to learn about the foundational concept of the Trinity. This is how our annual student conference kicked off and I was excited to see how God would use the weekend. There were two things that were particularly encouraging. First, one of the students I got to talk with told me that he wants to work hard in school to glorify God rather than himself, and when he fails, to reflect upon our Father’s grace rather than beating himself up. Second, I was talking with a student from Texas who had decided that he wanted to join a Bible study so that he could learn more about God. I was able to connect him with one of student leaders who is leading a study. Please pray that the Lord continues to work in these students and all the students on college campuses.

401(k) Web App
As a computer specialist in DiscipleMakers’ headquarters, much of my work focuses on supporting my fellow missionaries in their own work. Often this means helping with immediate needs like computer tech support. Sometimes, though, I help care for our missionaries’ in the long-term.
Many missionaries, after retiring from the field, lose much if not all of their financial support. In many cases, this leaves the missionary not set up for retirement. At DiscipleMakers, we desire to care for our staff as best as possible, including giving them the option to contribute to a 401(k). I recently launched a web app that allows our staff to easily enroll in and make changes to 401(k) contributions. It also acts as a contribution breakdown calculator so that our staff can plan their investment amount based on potential salary changes. I am hopeful that this will save our staff time and headache as it relates to saving for retirement.
Praise God for another successful fall conference.
Pray for G (who I wrote about last September) as he seeks to grow in the Lord in areas that needed growth that were brought to his attention by his peers.
Pray for our headquarters as we are in the process of making the decision for our next big software project.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. If there are any ways that I can be praying for you, please let me know!
