"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God."
1 John 4:7
Spring Break
On March 2nd, almost 70 students piled into cars and drove to Weaverville, NC to spend their Spring Break serving at a Young Life camp which will host middle and high school students throughout the upcoming summer. I was unable to go due to my responsibilities in the Headquarters office, but the students came back with many stories to tell!
During the day they broke into groups to do various projects such as cleaning bunks, putting together new furniture, and forging new hiking paths. In the evenings, there was a time of teaching through the book of 1 John. These teachings focused on being in the light and what it means to be a true Christian - loving God by obeying his commands and loving others. On the drive back to Pennsylvania, they stopped in Washington, DC for fun trip around the city and at the Museum of the Bible.
I heard many stories about how much fun they had building relationships and how helpful it was to hear reminders of the gospel, but the most exciting stories from the week were how two international students came to understand the gospel and placed their faith in Jesus! Praise God!
One student, "Z", indicated on the drive down to North Carolina that he was only 1% convinced of the truth of Christianity, but on the way back, after learning much at the Museum of the Bible, became fully convinced and turned toward Christ. He's excited to tell his family back home more about Jesus this summer!
Another student, "Y", had often viewed his life as insignificant and filled with loneliness. Throughout the week of spring break, he was confounded with the love he heard spoken about in the book of 1 John, and was struck by the other students living this out in a loving Christian community. He later exclaimed, "I now know that I don't need others to love me because God loves me."
Praise God for bringing these students to himself!

Women's Conference
My coworker and I have have been busily preparing for DiscipleMakers' annual Women's Conference next weekend (April 5-7th). This is one of my favorite conferences of the year as the women get a time of pointed teaching, rest, and fellowship with one another.
This year the theme is the Psalms of Ascent, to answer the question "What does it mean to worship God?" There will also be breakout sessions on other topics related to worship like lament, perfectionism, confession, and work as worship. Check out the trailer below for a preview of what the students will be enjoying!

Personal Update
This past month I celebrated the wedding of two good friends. All of the people in the photo below are the friends I had the privilege to raise support with for DiscipleMakers. Praise God for good friends!
Prayers & Praises
Praise God for the two students who came to Christ over spring break! Pray that they would continue to seek the Lord and grow in knowing the truth of Him.
Pray for the upcoming Women's Conference. Pray that the Lord would be greatly worshiped and that many of the ladies would gain a deeper understanding of what this means. Pray for our staff as they prepare to teach and lead throughout the long weekend.
Pray for me as we continue to prepare for Women's Conference and for the many other events to come in the next few months. Pray for energy and focus, and that I could completely rely on the Lord.
Thank you, dear friends, for your partnership in the gospel!
Your support - whether prayer, financial, or other - is greatly appreciated and makes it possible for us to continue reaching the next generation for Christ!
