He has done it! My ministry with DiscipleMakers is 100% funded!
About fifteen months ago, I was bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to embark on this journey of raising funding for my ministry with DiscipleMakers, completely ignorant of the the trials to come and the sanctification that would happen. I had asked the
Lord to finish my funding for DiscipleMakers in February, and he did just that …….. a year later! This experience has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of Godly people
and has also taught me many things. I would like to share a few of the things that I learned and some things I am excited for while serving in the headquarters.
What I Learned
As I reflect on my full-time support raising there are things that I can clearly see that God was teaching me, and I would like to share three of them.
God’s timing and my time are not always the same, His is way better. Through God’s timing I was able to meet many new people who are on fire for the Lord and grow
relationships that otherwise would not have happened.
Alongside this, God was teaching me that I needed to fully and utterly rely on him. I was not in control of other people and their heart, and God was the only one
who could provide funding.
Being in the Word and in prayer daily affects how my day goes physically, mentally, and spiritually. There are clear differences between the days of regular time with
God and days where I missed that time.
What I Am Excited For
DiscipleMakers Headquarters
I am thankful that the Lord has given me a heart for lost college students and has given me the gift of working with computers as well as creating software. The Lord has given me this opportunity to use these gifts in DiscipleMakers to improve and maintain
our systems which helps keep our staff as equipped as possible. I am excited to work on behind the scenes projects that will allow our ministry on the campus to be more
effective!
Ways You Can Be Praying
Praise God that He has brought my ministry with DiscipleMakers to 100% funding.
Pray that I will effectively use my skills in software engineering for DiscipleMakers.
Pray that I can develop relationships with and disciple some students in addition to my work in the headquarters.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. If there are any ways that I can be praying for you, please let me know!
